Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients except the apples in a high kettle and bring to the boil while stirring, add the apple halves and let them steep for about 10 minutes.
  2. Place the apples on a sieve and collect the brew. Layer the apples in glasses with the cut surface facing down. Put the collected brew back into the kettle and bring to the boil again. Now pour the brew over the apples, close the jars and boil down at 90 ° C for 20 minutes.
  3. These spice apples go well with duck and roast goose, with fried liver, with roast pork and game, or as a dessert with cream.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
