Instructions

  1. Put the 3-4 l milk with the contents of the vanilla pod, which has been scraped off, and the cinnamon stick in a kettle or large pot that is hanging on a tripod over a campfire.
  2. So that the milk can take on the taste, it should be heated slowly while stirring constantly. It should be about 3/4 of an hour and she mustn`t cook.
  3. When it has gotten pretty hot, add the maple syrup and stir everything in again.
  4. Finally, when it is hot, add the rum and then distribute it (enamel cups).
  5. But it should never boil, hence the constant stirring!
  6. It is a very tasty drink for cold days and you should be careful because it will knock you over quickly without you noticing.
  7. It is very popular in our hobby, but also at barbecue parties.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
