Ingredients

  • 1 kg turkey breast
  • some oil
  • 3 medium onion (s), roughly diced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 250 ml red wine, dry
  • 500 ml broth
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon ajvar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 2 bell peppers, red and yellow, roughly chopped
  • 3 tomato (s), diced
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • some lemon juice
  • possibly sauce thickener

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and fry in hot oil. Chop the onions into large pieces and finely chop the garlic. Add to the meat and sweat.
  2. Deglaze with red wine and stock. Add the remaining ingredients and season with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Let everything simmer on a low flame for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Season to taste with a few squirts of lemon juice and, if necessary, thicken with a little sauce thickener.
