Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 packet custard powder (vanilla)
  • 4 tablespoon semolina
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 egg white, beaten

Instructions

  1. Mix the vanilla pudding powder with a little milk. Put the rest of the milk and the sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Scatter semolina into the boiling milk and let it swell a little. Add the mixed pudding powder and mix thoroughly with the whisk. Fold in the egg yolk and finally fold in the beaten egg white.
  2. Put everything in a heat-resistant pudding bowl and let cool down until you eat it.
  3. Tip: We usually eat the semolina pudding with strawberry sauce or - if you want it to be quick - only with cinnamon and sugar.
  4. At that time my mother had the porridge with freshly squeezed orange juice.
