Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and cut into pieces. Halve the prickly pear lengthways and, like with a kiwi, remove the flesh with a spoon. Wash the currants and remove the berries from the stalk with a fork.
  2. Put all ingredients in a mixer and mix on the highest level for about 2 minutes. The prickly pear pits are unlikely to be completely ground, so the pips will be felt. Sugar is actually not required.
  3. Tip: If you have just cooked rice, you should definitely try it! Tastes really good, especially with basmati rice.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
