Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 275 ml almond drink warmed to 36 ° C
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 50 g mararine (sunflower mararine)
  • 20 g fresh yeast
  • 10 g salt
  • 75 g raisins

For decoration:

  • some agave syrup
  • Handful flaked almonds

Instructions

  1. For the dough, mix all the ingredients except for the raisins and knead for at least 16 minutes, then work in the raisins. Let the dough rise in a covered bowl for at least 30 - 45 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into three equal portions and shape them into approx. 25 - 30 cm long strands. Braid the braid with the three strands. Cover the braid with a cloth and let rise again for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Brush the braid with agave syrup and sprinkle with flaked almonds, pressing them down a little if necessary.
  4. Preheat the oven to 210 ° C and bake the braid in it for about 20 minutes.
  5. Cut the braid into about 8 pieces.
