Ingredients

  • 2 cup / s rice, loose, (e.g. parboiled)
  • 3 ½ cup vegetable broth
  • 1 small onion (s), finely chopped
  • 1 packet vegetables, frozen (e.g. peas or butter vegetables), optionally fresh vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon, leveled butter

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and sweat the finely chopped onion until translucent. Add the rice (brown rice, wild rice or basmati, depending on your taste) and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the broth. Add the vegetables and simmer on a low heat until the rice is swollen and cooked through. Stir frequently in between.
