Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 1 ½ kg white cabbage
  • 2 medium carrot (s)
  • 1 can tomato (s), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway seed
  • Vegetable stock, grains, or Vegeta
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 liter ½ vegetable stock

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion and sauté with the carrots. Sprinkle sugar on top, 1 tablespoon or a little more as you like and then sweat tomato paste. Cut the cabbage into large cubes, wash and place on top. Simmer a little while stirring constantly. Add the diced tomatoes and 1/2 liter of vegetable stock. Let simmer gently. The herb must be soft, but not crumble.
  2. As a vegetable, the tomato sauce should stay thick. Add a little more stock as soup and season to taste.
  3. I prefer to eat it with bread.
