Instructions

  1. Prepare twist-off glasses. Put the apples and plums in a large saucepan with the water, lemon juice, honey and preserving sugar and bring to the boil.
  2. Then simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring again and again, until the mixture (especially the apple pieces) is soft.
  3. Now puree with a hand blender (you can also use a simple hand mixer if the fruits are soft enough).
  4. Then season with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Simmer for about a minute and then quickly pour into the clean screw-top jars.
  6. Close the jars and turn them upside down. Turn over after 5 minutes and let cool.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
