Ingredients

  • 2 kg plums
  • 300 g suar
  • 200 ml water
  • 400 ml amaretto
  • 50 ml lemon juice

Instructions

  1. For 6 glasses of 350 - 370 ml each.
  2. Stone the plums, sprinkle with the sugar and let stand for 2 - 3 hours.
  3. Bring the plums to the boil with the water and cook for 5 minutes. Add the amaretto and lemon juice, bring to the boil again.
  4. Pour the plums into prepared glasses while piping hot. Either use mason jars with elastic and clamps or jars with twist-off lids.
  5. Due to the sugar content (the liqueur brings more sweetness with it), these plums keep for at least 1 year even without being boiled in a water bath.
  6. Amaretto plums go well with ice cream, pudding, panna cotta or just like that.
