Ingredients

  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), untreated (organic)
  • 2 teaspoons anise
  • 175 g butter, soft
  • 100 g powdered suar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 250 g flour
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, convection 160 degrees, gas mark 3.
  2. Rinse the lemon with hot water, pat dry and finely grate the peel. Finely crush the anise seeds in a mortar.
  3. Beat the butter with the icing sugar with the hand mixer until frothy. Stir in the egg. Gradually add the flour, grated lemon zest and crushed aniseed and mix everything into a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the soft dough into a piping bag with a medium-sized star nozzle or into a pastry syringe. Splash the dough onto baking sheets lined with baking paper in thick waves. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 12 minutes until golden.
  5. After cooling, dust with powdered sugar.
