- 100 ml milk
- 45 g cornstarch
- 1 packet vanilla sugar, optional
- 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or vanilla pod
- 5 tablespoon applesauce
- some cinnamon powder, optional

- First, the apple juice and milk are mixed thoroughly in a vessel with a whisk. Now a few tablespoons of the liquid are mixed with the cornstarch in a small container to form a smooth, thick mass. The mass shouldn`t be too tight. Then vanilla paste (or the pulp of the vanilla pod), cinnamon and sugar are added and stirred in. This liquid is heated in a saucepan at the highest level and brought to a boil.
- When the contents of the pot are at the boil, the mass with the cornstarch is added and quickly stirred in so that the mass can thicken evenly. The pot is removed from the stove and this is switched off.
- Now 5 tablespoon applesauce is evenly stirred into the pudding and the pudding can be placed in tumbler molds or stored closed. When it has cooled, it can also be stored in the refrigerator.
- It doesn`t take too long for the pudding to set, so it is enough to let it cool for about 1 hour. A longer period of time doesn`t hurt either.
- Finally, the pudding is topped and / or garnished with apples, cinnamon, vanilla sauce, applesauce, powdered sugar or something similar and served.
- This recipe can be varied and modified as you wish, e.g., you can use a little less cornstarch if you don`t want the pudding to be quite as firm, or you can experiment with the ingredients and, for example, change the ratio of milk and apple juice. I prefer to use cloudy apple juice, but that is also up to you.
