Ingredients

  • 4 large roulade (s) (turkey)
  • 4 slices ham (Serrano or Parma)
  • 1 large carrot (s)
  • 1 large apple
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon applesauce (alternatively peach jelly)
  • Curry powder
  • cumin

Instructions

  1. Pound the turkey meat flat and divide into 8 equal pieces of meat. Season with spices on both sides and cover with ham. Peel the carrot and apple, pull the carrot lengthways over a vegetable slicer into very thin strips (should be nice and bendable). Eighth the apple. Spread the carrot strips on the pieces of meat and wrap the apple pieces in them. Then pin it in place with a toothpick.
  2. Fry all over in a hot pan over high heat. Then take it out and keep it warm. Boil the roast set with the vegetable stock. Add the sour cream and applesauce and season with spices to taste.
  3. Every conceivable side dish goes well with it - but the roulades also go well with pumpkin vegetables.
