Ingredients

  • 1 ½ orange (s)
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon oil, (lemon oil)
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, approx. .5 cm in size
  • 1 red pepper, quantity to taste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 avocado (s), ripe
  • 100 g shrimp (s), (party shrimp)

Instructions

  1. Peel an orange so that the white is removed with it. Cut the individual fruit segments out of the separating membranes, collecting the juice. Squeeze the separating membranes out a little by hand. Squeeze half of the orange as well.
  2. Mix orange and lemon juice with mayonnaise and oil. Add the finely grated or pressed ginger and the pitted, diced hot peppers. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Halve the avocado lengthways, remove the stone. Remove the pulp with a ball cutter or spoon, in the latter case dice what has been removed. Immediately add to the marinade so that it doesn`t turn brown. Put the avocado pods aside, they will be needed for serving.
  4. If necessary, cut the orange segments smaller and add them to the marinade along with the prawns.
  5. Let everything steep and serve filled in the avocado bowls.
  6. Tip: You can replace the peppers with chilli flakes.
