Ingredients

  • 25 g butter
  • 200 g bacon, cut into fine strips
  • 2 medium onion (s), cut into fine strips
  • 200 g leek, halved, washed, cut into fine strips
  • 2 dl milk
  • 1 dl cream
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 250 g cheese, Appenzeller, rated
  • some salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1 packet puff pastry, rolled out into a round shape

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter in a pan, add the bacon, let it simmer a little, add the onions, continue to sweat. When the onions are slightly translucent, add the leeks and continue to sweat well, season a little with salt and pepper. Then let the whole thing cool down.
  2. During this time, preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air and spread the puff pastry with the baking paper in a mold. Now mix the milk, cream and eggs together, press the garlic, add the cheese, season with a little salt, pepper and nutmeg, mix again very well. Then distribute the cooled bacon, onion, and leek mixture on the puff pastry, stir the cheese mixture again a little and also distribute over it. Then bake the whole thing in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  3. A salad goes very well with it.
