Ingredients

  • 400 g potato (s), mainly waxy ones
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ caraway seeds, whole
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon butter, brown
  • 1 pinch (s) cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) ground coriander
  • 1 pinch (s) ground caraway seeds
  • 2 tablespoon chives, cut into small rolls
  • Nutmeg, ground

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes and cook them in salted water with caraway seeds until soft. Drain the water, peel the potatoes and press them through a potato press.
  2. Peel the onion, cut into small cubes and brown evenly lightly in a pan in the butter over a mild heat.
  3. Mix the potatoes, onions and the sour cream and add the brown butter, season with salt, cayenne pepper, coriander, caraway seeds and the nutmeg.
  4. Pour the potato cheese into small bowls and sprinkle with chives.
