Beef Chops With Beer Sauce

Incredibly delicious Chinese-style beef dish. Beef chops with beer and ketchup sauce are very simple to prepare, the result will delight all lovers of Asian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • Beef for steaks – 600 g
  • Light beer – 1 glass
  • Ketchup – 3-4 tbsp
  • Brown sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Dried garlic – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • White wine vinegar (optional) – to taste
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp

Directions

  1. For Beef Chops with Beer Sauce, prepare the items listed.
  2. Slice the beef across the grain into 1.5 cm portioned steaks.
  3. Cover each steak with cling film, beat thinly on both sides.
  4. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
  5. Fry the beef chops in a preheated skillet with butter until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Mix beer, ketchup, sugar, garlic, salt and pepper until smooth.
  7. Place the sautéed chops into the skillet.
  8. Pour the beer and ketchup sauce over the meat. Cook the beef chops in the sauce over low heat for 40 minutes. (If you find the gravy a little sweet, add 2-3 tablespoons of wine vinegar.)
  9. After 40 minutes, the meat will become softer, the sauce will become glossy and very tasty. Give it a try – if something isn’t enough for your taste, add pepper, salt, or vinegar.
  10. The dish is incredibly similar to Asian cuisine, so it is best served with boiled rice. You can serve the beef in whole pieces.
  11. Or you can cut the finished beef chops into pieces, mix with the remaining sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. The latter option is closer to me in taste and appearance.
