Ingredients

  • 2 steak (s) (beef), hip steaks
  • 2 onion (s), red, cut into strips
  • some flour
  • 2 dl beer, e.g. Scottish malt beer
  • Caraway seed
  • Thyme, chopped
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oil

Beef Steak with Onion – Beer – Sauce

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions in a little oil, then dust with flour. Add half of the beer and let it simmer. Season with caraway seeds, thyme, salt and pepper. Add the rest of the beer and let it simmer a little more.
  2. Fry the steaks in a separate pan in heated oil, then arrange the sauce on top.
  3. Serve with french fries, croquettes or hash browns.
