Braised Chicken

This recipe is probably known to many. My task is to remind you of it, because this dish is delicious, satisfying and will become an excellent basis for a family dinner. Here’s how to cook a chicken stew.

Servings: 2-3

Ingredients

  • Homemade chicken – 800 Grams
  • Carrots – 1 Piece
  • Onions – 3 Pieces
  • Salt – 0.5 Art. spoons
  • Ground allspice – 2-3 Pinch

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients you need. Peel the carrots and onions. I advise you to buy homemade chicken, it turns out to be much tastier. Take your shins, thighs, wings and neck.
  2. Grate large carrots on a coarse grater or cut into strips.
  3. Cut the onion into half rings. If your bulbs are large, you can cut them into quarters.
  4. Fry the chicken in a skillet until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a saucepan, add salt and pepper, cover with water and simmer over low heat for 50-60 minutes.
  6. Add onions and carrots, simmer for another 40-60 minutes, covered.
  7. The chicken stew is ready. Serve with a side dish.
