Turkish bulgur recipe – in tomato sauce with bell pepper. Bulgur prepared in this way turns out to be very tasty and rich. It can be served as an independent dish or as a side dish for any meat.

Ingredients
Bulgur – 150 g Bulb onions – 1 pc. Large tomato – 1 pc. Garlic – 1-2 cloves Bulgarian pepper – 60 g Tomato sauce – 2 tablespoon. Olive oil – 2 tablespoon. Salt to taste Ground black pepper – to taste Sugar (if necessary) – 1 pinch Zira (optional) – to taste
Directions
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, put onion chopped into small cubes, fry until soft.
Pepper, remove seeds and stalks, cut into small squares, add to the pan to the onion. Reduce the heat under the pan, simmer for 3-4 minutes.
After a while, cut the tomato into quarters, grate the pulp on a coarse grater, discard the skin. Add tomato pulp, crushed large clove of garlic, and your favorite tomato sauce to the skillet.
Rinse bulgur to clean water, put in a pan with vegetables.
Pour water to the bulgur in a frying pan in a 1: 2 ratio. Season with salt and pepper to taste, as soon as it boils, taste, if it is too sour, add a pinch of sugar.
Cover the frying pan with a lid, make a very low heat and cook bulgur with vegetables for 15 minutes, until the water is completely cooked and boiled away. If desired, a little cumin can be added to the bulgur during cooking, then the finished dish will be more authentic in taste.
Serve ready-made bulgur in Turkish immediately after cooking, catch and discard the garlic before serving. Incredibly tasty and satisfying, I recommend, we liked it very much.
