Bulgur with Mushrooms

Bulgur with mushrooms is an excellent lean dish.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Bulgur – 200 g
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Mushrooms – 500 g
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Water – 400 ml
  • Fresh greens – for serving

Directions

  1. Bulgur recipes with mushrooms.
  2. Pour the required amount of cereal into the cauldron (no need to wash).
  3. Cover with water, bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat, covered, until tender (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat and leave covered for 20 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, peel, wash and chop the onion.
  5. Wash, coarsely chop the mushrooms.
  6. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Put onion in hot oil. Fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown (2-3 minutes).
  7. Add mushrooms. Fry everything together, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Pour in ready-made bulgur.
  9. Mix well. Bulgur with mushrooms is ready.
  10. Serve bulgur with any fresh herbs.
