Instructions

  1. First cut the onions into thick rings. Heat some oil, honey and a little balsamic vinegar in a pan until the honey has dissolved. Then fry the onions in it until translucent.
  2. Meanwhile, knead the minced meat with the dried herbs, salt and pepper into an even mass and form four flat burgers. To press a hollow in the middle.
  3. Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into slices. Remove the onions from the pan, set aside and keep warm if possible.
  4. Now fry the burgers in a little oil in the pan. After turning the fried side, cover with a layer of tomato and a layer of mozzarella slices.
  5. Wash the lamb`s lettuce and spin / pat dry. Heat or toast the sliced rolls in the oven.
  6. When the burgers are cooked to the desired level, carefully turn the coated side down again to melt the mozzarella.
  7. Serving tip: Brush the rolls with a sauce of your choice, then place a generous layer of lamb`s lettuce on the lower half of the roll. Place the gratinated burger on top with the cheese side up and garnish with the fried onions. Place the top half of the bun on top and fix it with a toothpick if necessary.
