Chambella (Bagels-Donuts) in Sicilian Style

Knead the dough for fried bagels in a bread maker and fry in a deep fryer. So the recipe is for those who want to feast on fluffy sweet donuts-donuts Gambella, without putting in almost a single drop of work and spending quite a bit of money! Yummy!

Ingredients

  • For the test:
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 500 g
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Salt – 8 g
  • Dry beer yeast – 5 g
  • Besides:
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sugar for finished products

Directions

  1. Put milk, melted butter, and a beaten egg into the container of the bread machine. Pour in the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Knead the dough using the yeast dough setting.
    Divide the finished dough into 10 ball parts.
  2. We make a hole in each ball in the middle and form a Gambella (donut, pretzel). We work exclusively with our hands.
  3. Fry Gambella in a deep fryer, or in a deep frying pan with a lot of vegetable oil.
    Sprinkle the finished Gambella donuts with sugar.
  4. Sicilian fried bagels are ready.
