Chicken in Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 3 Tbsp. spoons
  • Water – 100 Milliliters
  • Vegetable oil – 3 Tbsp. spoons
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Ginger – 2-3 Art. spoons
  • Garlic – 2-3 Cloves
  • Chicken Thighs – 8 Pieces
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Pepper – 1 Pinch
  • Chile – 1 Pinch
  • Soy sauce – 2 Tbsp. spoons

Directions

  1.  First you need to prepare the main component of this dish – the sauce. Pour sugar into the pan and add about 50 milliliters of water. Put on fire and, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon, bring to a boil.
  2. Then gradually bring the caramel until brown. Remove from heat and gently add water, stirring constantly. If the caramel begins to harden or stratify, send it back to the fire and warm it up a little.
  3. The recipe for cooking chicken in caramel sauce continues to the next step. Wash the chicken thighs, dry them and peel them off. Season with salt to taste and add your favorite spices if desired.
  4. Peel the onion, garlic and ginger. Cut the onion and garlic into small cubes, and the ginger root into thin strips.
  5. Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat. Send garlic, ginger, onion there and fry lightly.
  6. Put the chicken in a pan and fry over high heat until crisp.
  7. Add ground black pepper and chili to taste. Pour in soy sauce and some of the caramel. Fry over medium heat until chicken is tender. That’s the whole simple recipe for chicken in caramel sauce. Add the remaining caramel 5 minutes until tender. Serve with a side dish, sprinkle with green onions.
