Rub the chicken thighs with salt and pepper (add basil if desired), it took me a pinch of salt on the thigh. You can put the meat in a bowl or directly into a baking dish. We leave for about 10 minutes.
During this time, we will prepare the sauce. Add lemon juice to vegetable oil, then mustard. Mix everything thoroughly. (Well, if you don’t feel like messing around, you can replace this sauce with regular mayonnaise.)
Pour the resulting sauce over the meat, leave it for another 10 minutes (it is possible for a longer time). Preheat the oven to 200-220 degrees. Put the thighs in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
While the thighs are baking, wash the apples, cut them into 4 pieces (it can be smaller), remove the seeds.
Put apples on top of the thighs. We bake for another 30-50 minutes. Be careful! Usually my meat is baked quickly, but this time for some reason it was baked for a very long time. Half an hour after adding the apples, check the chicken thighs and, if not ready, check every 5-10 minutes.
Chicken meat is tender, juicy. Apples give a spicy sourness and serve as an excellent side dish!
