Wash the chicory, cut in half and cut out the bitter stalks. Then salt and pepper the halves well. Now put the halves back together and wrap a slice of cheese (wrap it around first!) And a slice of cooked ham. Now place the roll in an ovenproof pot with a lid. Do the same with the three remaining chicory. Tip: If you don`t really like it, you can wrap each half individually. Then there are eight smaller rolls and you need correspondingly more cheese and ham slices.
Now pour a cup of cream over the whole thing and distribute a small amount of butter on each roll.
