Ingredients

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 275 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 100 g caramel candy (s) (soft caramels)
  • 25 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon coffee powder, soluble, 5 g
  • 50 ml egg liqueur
  • Fat for the shape
  • Flour or breadcrumbs for the mold

For the cast:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon cooking oil
  • possibly caramel candy (s), chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C top / bottom heat. Grease a loaf pan with a length of 30 cm and sprinkle with flour or breadcrumbs.
  2. Put the butter in a mixing bowl and whip creamy with sugar, salt and vanilla sugar. Add the eggs one by one. Mix the flour, cocoa and baking powder, sieve and stir into the egg cream with the coffee powder and egg liqueur. Chop the caramel candies and fold into the batter.
  3. Put the dough in the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 50 - 55 minutes. Make a chopsticks sample.
  4. Take out, let cool down a bit and place on a wire rack.
  5. For the topping, melt the chocolate and oil over a water bath and brush the cake with it. Sprinkle with chopped caramel candy if necessary.
