Ingredients

  • 175 g butter
  • 175 grams sugar
  • 4 egg (s), (class M)
  • 350 g flour
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • some butter and flour for the baking pan

For the filling:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 5 tablespoon apple juice
  • 2 packs pudding powder, vanilla
  • 350 ml apple juice, clear
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g almond sticks

For decoration:

  • 250 ml whipped cream
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 14 biscuit (s), (cinnamon stars)
  • some cinnamon

Instructions

  1. For the base, mix 175 grams of butter with 175 grams of sugar until creamy. Stir in four eggs (size M) one after the other. Mix 350 grams of flour, three teaspoons of cinnamon and half a packet of baking powder, sieve and then stir in alternately with 100 ml of milk. Pour the dough into a greased and floured springform pan (26 cm diameter) and bake for about 45 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius.
  2. For the filling:
  3. Peel, quarter and core 1 kg apples and roughly dice. Mix five tablespoons of apple juice with two packets of vanilla pudding powder. Boil 350 ml clear apple juice together with two teaspoons of lemon juice, add the diced apples and simmer for about five minutes.
  4. Then add the mixed pudding powder while stirring and bring to the boil. Fold in 50 grams each of raisins and almond sticks.
  5. Halve the baked and cooled base horizontally and surround the lower part with a cake ring. Pour the apple mixture on top, put the top part of the bottom back on and chill for about an hour.
  6. Finally, whip 250 grams of whipped cream with a packet of vanilla sugar until stiff, brush the cake with the cream and garnish with cinnamon stars. Sprinkle a touch of cinnamon over the cake.
