Ingredients

  • 1 can corn kernels
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ curry powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ turmeric
  • some salt, possibly
  • 0.5 ½ vegetable stock cube
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cardamom
  • pepper
  • 1 liter boiling water
  • 5 tablespoon corn grits
  • 0.5 ½ cup crème fraîche
  • 2 tablespoon parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Put the entire contents of the corn can in a sufficiently large saucepan and turn the stove on to the highest setting. Gradually add the spices and finally pour at least one liter of boiling water.
  2. Then turn the stove back to a low level and carefully (so that no lumps are formed) gradually stir in the semolina and simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Season the soup to taste and add seasoning if necessary. Just before serving, stir in the creme fraîche and finally garnish with the parsley (1 - 2 teaspoons per plate) on the plate.
