Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee)
  • 4 fish fillet (s), white
  • 1 onion (s), finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coriander, ground
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ chilli
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 125 ml water
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ coriander, fresh, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Fry the fish in the ghee for about 1 minute on each side and then remove from the pan. Add the onion and garlic to the pan and fry until golden brown. Add coriander, cumin, turmeric and chilli and fry briefly while stirring. Then add tomato paste and water, simmer for 2 minutes and then return the fish to the pan and cover well with the mixture. Heat everything and add the fresh coriander just before the end of the cooking time. Eat with rice or flatbread.

  3. Any firm fish fillet is suitable for this dish, but you can also use schnitzel instead of fish.
