Fish and Potato Cutlets

These cutlets are made from boiled salmon and mashed potatoes.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillet (boiled) – 450 g
  • Mashed potatoes (freshly prepared) – 450 g
  • Butter (melted) – 25 g
  • Whole grain mustard – 2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Fresh dill (chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Egg (slightly beaten) – 1 pc.
  • Dried bread crumbs – 150 g (1 glass)
  • Sunflower oil – 60 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Greens for serving
  • Lemon wedges for serving

How to cook fish and potato cutlets:

Directions

  1. Break the broiled salmon fillet into small pieces with a fork, removing bones and skin along the way.
  2. Put the fish in a bowl of mashed potatoes, pour in the melted butter and add the mustard, mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste, also add dill and parsley, lemon zest, and juice, mix well again.
  3. Divide the mass into 8 portions, form into balls, and then crush to form patties. First, roll each cutlet in flour, then in an egg, and finally in bread crumbs.
  4. Heat the sunflower oil in a large skillet, add the fish and potato cutlets and fry until golden brown on each side.
