Ingredients

  • 225 g oatmeal, tender
  • 85 g cane suar or brown suar
  • 150 g butter
  • 20 g syrup (caramel syrup)

Instructions

  1. Mix the oatmeal with brown sugar. Melt the butter in a saucepan and pour over the oat flakes together with the syrup. Mix everything well and press on a greased baking sheet with very wet fingers. Bake in the preheated oven at approx. 160 ° C on the middle rack for approx. 15 minutes until light brown. You should be careful that they don`t get too dark, otherwise they taste too bitter.
  2. The baked dough is still soft when it comes out of the oven, it only reaches the desired firmness after a short cooling. Cut into 4 x 4 cm pieces while still warm. Allow to cool and, if possible, store in a cool place or in the refrigerator.
  3. Since they are nice and crispy, the biscuits are good with tea or coffee.
