Instructions

  1. Peel the cucumber and slice it. Season with salt and pepper and let steep for 15 minutes. In the meantime, fry the ham cubes with a splash of oil (there must not be too much oil, but the ham cubes will not be crispy without oil). Drain half of the cucumber water. Stir in the chopped chives and the sour cream. Just before serving, fold in the diced ham and season with salt and pepper.
  2. You can also use sour cream instead of sour cream, but then add 1-2 tablespoons of table vinegar to taste.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
