Ingredients

  • 1 cup espresso
  • 200 ml milk 3.5%, alternatively almond milk or soy milk
  • some whipped cream or plant cream, whipped
  • 1 shot liqueur 43
  • sugar or erythritol

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan. When the milk is lukewarm, use a milk frother to make the milk froth (I use a small battery-operated milk frother for this). Then heat the milk up to approx. 70 ° C.
  2. In the meantime, make the espresso. This can be done with a machine or with a stove-top espresso maker, if necessary a soluble espresso will do it too.
  3. Pour the hot milk with milk foam into a glass and slowly pour in the espresso. Add 1 shot of Liqueur 43, amount to taste, and top with 1 - 2 tablespoons of whipped cream.
  4. It is sweetened as required.
  5. Tip: If the latte macchiato is to become vegan, simply replace the milk with plant-based milk and the cream with plant-based cream. According to the company, Liqueur 43 is vegan.
