A cupcake with an interesting name “Sfuf” is a traditional Lebanese pastry with semolina, turmeric, anise and sesame crust! Thanks to this, the cake has a beautiful sunny color and a divine aroma with oriental notes.

Ingredients
Wheat flour – 1.5 cups
Semolina – 0.5 cups
Sugar – 1 glass
Milk – 1 glass
Sunflower oil – 0.5 cups
Turmeric – 1 teaspoon
Ground anise – 0.5 teaspoon.
Baking powder – 1.5 teaspoon.
Sesame – 1 tbsp
Directions
Prepare products for the Lebanese Sfuf cake.
Pour sugar into warm milk, mix.
Now add ground anise, turmeric and sunflower oil to sweet milk. Stir the mixture again with a whisk.
Mix flour with baking powder, sift into a bowl with milk mixture. Pour semolina here.
Knead to a homogeneous dough.
Transfer the dough to a baking dish. Cover the surface of the dough with sesame seeds, cashew nuts, coconut flakes (all together or one thing if desired).
Bake Lebanese manna in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
Cool and slice the finished Sfuf cake, serve with tea, coffee or other drinks.
