Ingredients

  • 2 ½ kg leg lamb (with bone)
  • 6 medium tomato (s)
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 4 garlic clove (s), (finely chopped)
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons oregano, freshly chopped
  • 3 teaspoons mint, freshly chopped
  • 6 tablespoon olive oil
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoon margarine
  • 300 ml water

Instructions

  1. Make a paste from oregano, mint, garlic cloves, olive oil and the 3 teaspoons of salt and rub the leg of lamb with it. Fry the meat on all sides in the margarine. Then place in the oven at 160 ° C for approx. 2 - 2.5 hours, do not cover the roaster. Pour in the water after an hour. Peel and cut the tomatoes into eighths. Chop the onion.
