Ingredients

  • 1 kg liver (s) (pork or beef)
  • 4 large onion (s)
  • 2 apples, sour
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the liver, remove the tendons and skin and cut into bite-sized slices. Then turn in flour and fry well on both sides in a large pan (do not salt beforehand).
  2. In the meantime, cut the onions into rings and the apples into slices - then add these to the liver. Fry everything, turning carefully, until the onion has taken on color.
  3. Now season with pepper and salt and gradually add the vegetable stock. Let the whole thing stew for about 15-20 minutes. An additional binding is not necessary, as the flour already ensures binding.
  4. Season again with salt and pepper and serve with mashed potatoes.
  5. We also like to eat sauerkraut with it - but that`s a matter of taste.
