Ingredients

  • 400 g mozzarella

For the marinade:

  • 1 tablespoon pepper, pink
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoon vinegar (white wine vinegar)
  • 6 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, fresh
  • 0.5 ½ cucumber (s)
  • 1 head radicchio, small

Instructions

  1. Drain the mozzarella and cut into cubes with an edge length of approx. ½ cm.
  2. For the marinade, coarsely crush the pink pepper, press the garlic. Mix the pepper and garlic with the vinegar, oil, thyme and oregano and pour over the mozzarella cubes. Let it steep for 15 minutes, turn carefully several times.
  3. In the meantime, peel, halve and core the cucumber. Cut the pulp as large as the mozzarella cubes and mix in. Clean the radicchio and place the outer leaves on 4 plates as a bed. Cut the small leaves into fine strips and mix with the mozzarella cucumber cubes and distribute on the plates.
  4. Tip: A Prosecco or a light white wine goes best with an appetizer with mozzarella.
