Melon Sage Liqueur

Instructions

  1. Wash the lemon with hot water, dry it, and cut into slices.
  2. Pat the fresh melon sage dry as much as possible. Roughly chop it and place in a large glass jar with a lid along with the rock sugar and lemon slices. Pour the vodka over and seal the jar.
  3. Let the mixture steep for 8 weeks, ideally on a windowsill. Shake the jar once a week so that the rock sugar dissolves better.
  4. After 8 weeks, filter the mixture and transfer the liquid to a clean bottle.
  5. Let the liqueur age for at least 4 weeks before drinking. The longer it ages, the better the flavor becomes.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
