Ingredients

  • 150 g millet, dried
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 carrot (s), coarsely grated
  • 1 onion (s), finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 2 tablespoon locust bean gum
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

Instructions

  1. Cook the millet in the vegetable stock for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let soak for 5 minutes. Drain excess stock and allow the millet to evaporate. Then add all the other ingredients to the millet and knead everything well with your hands (this is important for the binding properties of the locust bean gum). Shape patties. Bake in a pan on both sides or alternatively bake in the oven at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat) for 15 minutes with low fat content. This fits e.g., steamed cauliflower and a mushroom cream sauce
