Ingredients

  • 500 g onion (s)
  • 2 apples
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 750 ml chicken broth
  • 250 ml export beer
  • 300 g cheese (Emmentaler), rated
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, hot pink
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and cut into rings. Wash and grate the apples. Then melt the butter in a saucepan, fry the onions in it, add the apples and pour on the broth and beer.
  2. Boil the soup for about 10 minutes and season with paprika powder, salt and pepper. Distribute the finished soup on plates and sprinkle with the Emmentaler.
