Pasta with Sausages and Mushrooms in Tomato Sauce, in a Pan

Why cook the pasta separately, and then wash the pan. You can just cook them in the same skillet along with the sauce! No trickery! Pour the fried onions, mushrooms, and sausages with tomato sauce, add spices and pasta and simmer under the lid. This method allows the pasta to be saturated with the sauce as much as possible, which makes the dish even tastier and richer.

Ingredients

  • Pasta – 125 g
  • Sausages – 120 g (2 pcs.)
  • Champignons – 100 g
  • Onions – 80 g (1 pc.)
  • Hard cheese – 50 g
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Tomato paste – 50 g
  • Dried oregano – 1 teaspoon
  • Frozen or fresh parsley – 5-10 g (to taste)
  • Salt (if necessary) – to taste

Directions

  1. Peel the onion, chop finely. Peel and cut the mushrooms into slices, which are then cut in half across.
  2. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry the onions over high heat for two minutes. Add mushrooms, reduce heat to medium and fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cut sausages, peeled from the shell, into slices approximately 1 cm thick.
  4. Add sausages to mushrooms and onions. Fry for a couple of minutes.
  5. Dissolve the tomato paste in 300 ml of water and add to the fried mushrooms with sausages and onions. Peel the garlic and squeeze through a press into a frying pan. Pour in dried oregano.
  6. Add pasta to the pan. Stir and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat to the low, cover pan, and cook pasta with mushrooms and sausages for about 15 minutes. The time depends on the type of pasta. If after 15 minutes all the liquid has already evaporated, and the pasta is still hard, then pour in a little boiling water and continue cooking.
  8. Add greens to the finished pasta (I have frozen, already chopped).
  9. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, add to the pasta with mushrooms and sausages in tomato sauce (leave a little cheese for serving). Heat for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese. Add salt if necessary. I didn’t salt it, because my cheese is quite salty. Remove skillet from heat.
