Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta, (macaroni)
  • 1 ring / s meat sausage
  • 2 onions)
  • 1 kg tomato (s), passed
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 3 large clove (s) garlic, pressed
  • 400 g cheese, (Gouda), rated
  • some margarine, for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon, leveled vegetable stock, grained
  • paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C fan oven. Cook the macaroni as normal, put them in a baking dish.
  2. Now cut the onions and the meat sausage into cubes. Sear the meat sausage in a large saucepan with a little margarine and season it with salt and pepper, then add the onions and stir constantly, as the meat sausage can burn quickly.
  3. Before the tomatoes are added, the pressed garlic is added. Now deglaze everything with the cream, now also add the tomatoes.
  4. The color of the sauce has to be slightly red and that`s why you add the tomato paste now. To ensure that the sauce doesn`t only taste like tomatoes, add about 2 level tablespoons of vegetable stock, a generous amount of paprika powder and about 1 teaspoon of chili powder. Add a little pepper if necessary.
  5. Now add the sauce to the baking dish and mix well with the macaroni.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top and leave in the oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
