Ingredients

  • 250 g potato (s)
  • Salt water
  • 2 onions)
  • 250 g chestnut (s), pre-cooked
  • milk
  • cream
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and cook them in salted water until soft and add the chestnuts about 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time. When both are done, drain the water.
  2. Heat the milk and cream in a saucepan (ratio 1: 1). Mash the potatoes and chestnuts and stir in the milk-cream mixture with the mixer until the desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Peel and dice the onions and sauté in a saucepan with 1 tablespoon of butter. Dust with 1 tablespoon flour, brown lightly and add to the potato and chestnut puree. Season with salt and fold in the remaining butter. Goes very well as an accompaniment to Christmas goose or duck.
