Potato Soup with Ukrainian Dumplings

Potato soup with Ukrainian dumplings, you need to cook in the same way as soup with dumplings, but instead of dumplings, put dumplings.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Water – 1.5-2 l
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Black pepper – 1 pinch
  • Dill greens – 3 sprigs
  • Parsley greens – 3 sprigs
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Flour – 100-120 g
  • Eggs – 1 pcs.

Directions

  1. Cooking ingredients.
  2. Peel the potatoes, wash, cut into cubes.
  3. Boil water, boil potatoes until half cooked over medium heat (10-15 minutes).
  4. Peel the onion, wash, chop finely.
  5. Peel the carrots, grate on a coarse grater.
  6. Heat a frying pan, melt the butter, fry the onion in ghee over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Add carrots to the onion and fry slightly.
  8. Put the frying in a saucepan, season with salt, add the bay leaf.
  9. Cooking dumplings: knead the dough as for homemade noodles. To do this, break an egg, add flour, knead the dough so that it does not stick to your hands.
  10. Roll out the dough with a tourniquet.
  11. Cut it obliquely into pieces 1.5–2 cm long.
  12. Put the pieces into the soup. Cook for 7-10 minutes over medium heat.
  13. Wash greens, chop finely.
  14. Turn off soup, herbs, salt, and pepper.
