Instructions

  1. First you make a shortcrust pastry from the dough ingredients, roll it out very flat and let it get really nice and cold in the freezer, for example, so that it is easier to cut out afterwards.
  2. Then mix the milk cream filling from skimmed milk powder, powdered sugar, oil, butter and milk. It has to be stirred until there are no more granules in it.
  3. You can also melt the chocolate.
  4. Now you cut out 40 round biscuits, in 20 of them you make a hole in the middle with a smaller cookie cutter.
  5. The biscuits need 8-10 minutes in the oven at 200 °. Caution! The rings don`t take as long as the filled biscuits! They should be lightly browned around the edges so that they look nice and appetizing.
  6. Now you put about 1/2 teaspoon of the milk cream filling on each filled biscuit, spread it a little (this is a bit difficult because the filling is sticky) and then place a hole biscuit on top. The holes are filled with the melted chocolate.
  7. The cookies are not exactly like the Prinzentaler, but they are similar and very tasty.
