Grease 2 muffin trays well or equip with paper liners.
Mix the flour and baking powder together well.
Mix the egg with the quark, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt well.
Now stir in or knead in the flour mixture.
The dough shouldn`t stick too much, if this is the case, add a little more flour.
Now halve the dough and roll each half thinly into a rectangle of about 20 x 30 cm on a floured work surface.
Brush one half of the dough with the plum sauce and the other half with the applesauce. (Of course, any jam can also be used)
Now roll up the rectangles from the narrow side and cut each into 6 pieces. Now place the pieces in the molds and brush them lightly with water or egg yolk and sprinkle with crystal sugar if you like.
Now place both muffin trays in the preheated oven and bake at 185 ° C top / bottom heat or 165 ° C fan oven for a good 25 minutes.
After baking, let cool in the tray for a good 5-10 minutes and then take out.
The muffin rolls are a pleasure both warm and cold.
And especially popular at Christmas time, when you refine the dough with a little ground almonds and add cinnamon !!!
