Ingredients
- 50 ml vinegar (light rice vinegar)
- 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
- 2 tablespoon fish sauce, (from the Asian shop)
- 2 tablespoon sugar, brown
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
- 1 cucumber (s)
- 2 shallot (s)
- 1 small chilli pepper (s)

- Stir in vinegar, tamarind sauce, fish sauce, sugar and salt, bring to the boil. Let the marinade cool down.
- Wash the cucumber, cut in half and cut into wafer-thin slices. Clean the chilli, remove the seeds and dice. Peel the shallots and cut into thin slices. Mix everything.
- Let the salad steep for at least 30 minutes.
- Season to taste with vinegar and sugar before serving.
