Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 packs dumplings
  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 can tomato (s), peeled
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder
  • 2 teaspoon fondor
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 400 g cheese, rated, (Emmentaler)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion, cut into small cubes and fry in a pan or saucepan in a little oil, add the minced meat and fry the whole thing until crumbly and season to taste.
  2. Then put the whole tomatoes in a separate saucepan. I always cut off the tip of the tomatoes, as there are mostly peel residues left there. But you don`t have to do that. Season with salt, pepper and fondor.
  3. Place the dumplings next to each other on a deep baking tray or in a large baking dish so that the bottom is covered. The minced meat is then distributed on top. Then pour the tomato sauce evenly over it. Mix the cream with half of the cheese and pour over it as well. Scatter the rest of the cheese on top.
  4. Cook in the oven at 200 degrees for approx. 20 minutes. Those who prefer the cheese browned can leave the casserole in the oven longer.
  5. On birthdays or celebrations, I always serve salad and fresh baguette with it.
