First, heat some butter in a pan (not that much, think about the bacon). While the butter is getting hot, you can cut the dumplings into thin, approx. 1.5 cm thick strips. Sauté the onions and bacon over a medium temperature. Meanwhile, whisk the milk and eggs together and season with salt, pepper and paprika. Then add the cut Maultaschen and fry until they have a good color (how long you cook the Maultaschen is up to you, some like them crispy, some rather soft).
When the Maultaschen are sufficiently browned, pour the milk-egg mixture over the Maultaschen and let them set at a low temperature. Finally, you can sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
This goes well with cucumber and tomato salad and a cold beer.
